$1,000 grant to assist individual artist(s) in the creation and implementation of an exhibit of original artwork in Carrizozo, New Mexico, USA.
Inspired by Glo & Patrick Smith’s acts of friendship and their generous support of multiple Carrizozo artists, this award is offered to assist an artist who mounts an exhibit of original work in a Carrizozo gallery, venue or public space. Artists-in-Residence are eligible but the award may be granted to any practicing artist exhibiting in Carrizozo. APPLICATION COMING SOON.

Generously funded by Angel Donor, Lisa Wilson, the CARRIZOZO AIR GRANT is given in support of Artists-In-Residence while they are residing in Carrizozo, New Mexico, USA, as part of the Carrizozo AIR program. Recipients must be approved by Carrizozo AIR to be eligible. The 2025 application is HERE.

The CARRIZOZO ART PRIZE provides financial support, exposure and recognition to artist(s) who show exceptional creative capacity in their work and the prospect for more to come. Named to honor the inspirational artists in our headquarters town, the CARRIZOZO ART PRIZE may be awarded to any qualifying artist living and practicing in the United States.
